Cable Repair and Replacement
kSARIA provides repair and replacement service for almost all types of fiber optic cable assemblies and harnesses utilizing our full service cable repair capability. kSARIA commonly restores damaged cables to the high level of performance, reliability and quality consistently provided by kSARIA’s automated manufacturing process.
Incoming cable and harness assemblies are tested and diagnosed. If a cable terminus can be repaired, it will typically be cleaned or re-polished, inspected and fully tested. If the existing terminus is not repairable, it can be replaced, polished, inspected and fully tested. Repairs are accomplished on the same automated fiber optic assembly equipment, employing our in-depth automation technology, to provide the highest performance, reliability, and quality possible. As with newly manufactured cables, complete test data is shipped back to the customer with the cable assembly, so the customer knows the high quality performance provided by kSARIA.
If the incoming cable can not be repaired, kSARIA can replace the fiber optic cable or harness assembly to the exact performance parameters required by the application. Where possible, kSARIA will work with our customers to determine what materials may be reused to manufacture a replacement assembly in order to save cost while ensuring the performance and quality of the fiber optic assembly is not compromised.
