Fiber Optic Assembler IV

The Fiber Optic Assembler IV will be responsible for product assembly and test of kSARIA’s military/ aerospace fiber optic assembly products.  The position will be “hands-on” where the individual will be expected to work along side production assemblers in order to achieve delivery goals.  The individual will be responsible for reading and understanding engineering prints to fabricate complex fiber optic assemblies.  A thorough knowledge of fiber optic termination and interconnectivity is required.
 

·        Fiber Optic Cable Assembly

·        Read and understand engineering drawings

·        Perform fiber optic termination with harsh environment connectors and fiber cable

·        Develop assembly instructions

·        Perform optical performance testing for insertion loss, return loss, and attenuation

·        Training fiber optic production assemblers

·        Work closely with engineering to contribute to design enhancements for manufacture and assembly ease

 

 Position Requirements:

• Proven work experience in a fiber optic production operation
• Thorough knowledge of fiber optic termination processes for Mil/Aero applications
• Working knowledge of fiber optic tools and testing equipment
• Detail oriented, quality metric driven, and high degree of mechanical aptitude
• US Citizenship required for US Department of Defense work.
• Minimum of 5-10 yrs experience

 

Additional Experience Considered:
 

• Familiarity of AS9100 and ISO9000:2001
• Familiarity with automation equipment a plus.
