Machine Operator - Fiber Optics

The Machine Operator position will be primarily responsible for operating a proprietary fiber optic cable assembly machine.  The position will report to the Production Engineering Manager.  The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot automated equipment.  Specialized training will be provided for this position.

 

  • Understanding of manufacturing work order process flow
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows software framework
  • Ability to operate kSARIA proprietary machinery; prior experience in machine operations (2 years minimum)
  • Work history demonstrating good attendance, responsibility, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with verbal and written instructions in English
  • Ability to perform light assembly work requiring high manual dexterity and physical endurance to stand at workstations for the majority of work shift.
  • US Citizenship required for US Department of Defense work.
  • Use of measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers and micrometers (including understanding of fractional measurements)
  • Understanding of basic cable construction 
  • High School Diploma
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
