Sebastian J. Sicari
President and Chief Executive Officer, Member of the Board of Directors
Prior to joining kSARIA, Mr. Sicari was the president and CEO of Aseco Corp., a publicly traded Massachusetts manufacturer of semiconductor automation equipment. Mr. Sicari led Aseco from its initial start-up through its IPO and, ultimately, to a successful merger. Mr. Sicari also has held several senior positions at GCA Corp. and Apollo Computer during a management career that has spanned more than 25 years. A certified public accountant, Mr. Sicari has a B.S. in finance from Suffolk University and has completed the executive management program at Sloan Business School at MIT.
Anthony (Tony) Christopher
Vice President, Technical Operations
Mr. Christopher joined kSARIA in 2000 and directs the company’s engineering and manufacturing functions. He is inventor of 5 issued patents, with several more pending, in the field of automated fiber optic processing. He has authored numerous papers in this field and frequently presents at technical conferences on fiber optic interconnectivity.
Mr. Christopher was previously the chief operating officer of Intelligent Automation Systems (IAS), an engineering firm specializing in innovative and custom-designed automation solutions in Cambridge, MA. As COO of IAS, Mr. Christopher was responsible for the design, development, manufacturing and support for all automation equipment developed by the company. His more than 20 years experience also includes engineering roles for Siemens Medical Electronics and Millipore Corp. Mr. Christopher has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from MIT and has completed post-graduate studies at Boston University.
Michael A. DiPoto
Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Mike brings 17 years of financial and operational experience to kSARIA as a corporate, high technology financial executive.
In his previous position as Chief Financial Officer at publicly held Data Translation, Inc., he led all financial, operational and administrative functions including human resources, investor relations and information technology. He helped set strategic direction, led and participated in raising $5 million in equity capital.
Prior to joining Data Translation, Mike served as Corporate Controller for software start-up, NuMega Technologies, Inc. where he led the finance team through the sale of the company to Compuware. Mike has also held senior finance positions in the hardware/software industry including RVSI, Acuity Imaging, Inc. and Automatix, Inc.
Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell and a Masters of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
Vice President of Business Development
Mr. Jortberg has been involved in the fiber optics industry for over twenty five years. Prior to joining kSARIA, Mr. Jortberg was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for StockerYale, where he played a key role in starting the special optical fiber division of the company. Mr. Jortberg then went on to be the General Manager of the business unit. Previously, Mr. Jortberg was Vice President of Sales for the Optical Fiber Division of Lucent Technologies (now OFS). He also held senior sales positions at Spectran and AT&T. Along with his technical sales, marketing and business development experience, Mr. Jortberg is also a registered communication distribution designer. He has been involved in designing fiber optic communication systems for the defense, medical, commercial and industrial markets. Paul has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Northeastern University.
